Fur and Feather Works is proud to partner with Truckee Meadows Community College to offer this course in Therapy Dog Handling!
A therapy dog is a dog that is specially trained to provide affection and comfort to people in hospitals, retirement homes, nursing homes, courtrooms, schools, hospices, disaster areas, and to people with mental illness. They make a world of difference in the quality of life and healing time of the people they help.

A therapy dog brings joy, hope and affection to the people who need it most by visiting them with their handler. Therapy dogs are not service dogs (like a seeing eye dog).
This course will run Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10am, starting on February 7, 2017.
We hope to see you there! The world can always use more goodwill and dog kisses!
