Pipsqueak Socials
Pipsqueak socials are a safe opportunity for small and toy dogs of all ages to get together and play, sniff stuff, practice their training, explore the tunnel and play houses in our center, meet some different people, and practice “talking dog” to other dogs. Pipsqueak Social times and dates vary to accommodate everyone’s schedule. Please email me to get on the invitation list!
Why a Pipsqueak Social instead of the dog park or big chain pet store??
- Socialization is just as important for small dogs as it is for big ones – it helps to maintain polite behavior and appropriate body language around other dogs, not to mention they love it!
- We monitor vaccination records for every dog who enters our training center
- Dog parks are DANGEROUS for small dogs, because of their size, delicate structure, and the fact that they can trigger predatory responses in larger dogs. I’ve heard too many horror stories!
- Owners attend WITH their dog – you observe the behavior and learn along with your dog
- Only open to healthy, friendly, small dogs (under 20 lbs full size breed standard – meaning overweight is fine)
- Supervised by Certified Professional Dog Trainer (Knowledge-Assessed) for the safety and enjoyment of everyone
- Climate-controlled, CLEAN environment to minimize risk of disease transmission
- You and your small dog will learn about appropriate body language and polite play, as well as getting some mental simulation and physical exercise
- NO risk of accidentally getting stepped on, rolled, or scared by an exuberant big dog!
